SCHIEDAM, January 2017 ~ VETUS is introducing the next evolution of its D-Line engine range. The new engines meet the new emission standards of the EU’s Recreational Craft Directive and are extremely suitable for on-board power hydraulics on board.
The new D-Line engines feature an innovative water-cooled top cover to reduce engine room heat. It also cuts engine noise from an already near-silent engine block. The top cover doubles as a handy step location. Other features that are added to the new D-Line engines are: a new, smaller air filter to save engine room space, new exhaust manifold insulation, water heater connections, an electric sump pump and a high-output alternator (160 Amps).
As options, Vetus offers a second alternator, a PTO flange to install a hydraulic pump, a fly-bridge instrument panel, a trolling valve and much more. These can be ordered separately but will be installed on the engine when ordered as a complete package.
An option exclusively available for the 6-cylinder models is a separate fuel filter kit. The new D-line was launched at the 2016 METSTRADE show in Amsterdam. It will be put on the market in early 2017.
For over 50 years, VETUS has been developing innovative systems for recreational and small commercial boats.
