DUESSELDORF – Alternative fuels and engines will be the topic of the International Breakfast Meeting at the 2020 Boat Duesseldorf. The annual breakfast event is co-sponsored by the world’s biggest boat show and the Brussels-based European Boat Industry.
Organizers say the European Commission and innovators from the fields of electric, hybrid and hydrogen will provide crucial input to the sustainable boating debate and Europe’s decarbonization strategy in the years ahead.
Says Boat Duesseldorf Director Petros Michelidakis: “Recognizing new trends and developments at an early stage will help the industry understand and effectively use innovations for a sustainable development.” Philip Easthill, the new EBI secretary-general, says “environmental sustainability is a key issue for the recreational boating industry. We very much look forward to discussing this with international experts.”
The breakfast attracted 150 participants to its 4th edition in 2019. It follows cross-sectoral developments in decarbonization. The 2020 edition takes place Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 8:30 until 10:30 in the Congress Center East at Boat Duesseldorf.
