DÜSSELDORF – Organizers at Boat Düsseldorf – the high mass of the global boating, yachting and watersports sectors that reels in 250,000 visitors a year — says its 2021 edition is on course, albeit in a corona-adjusted format.
The dates are Jan. 23-31. The show says that “to make sure you feel completely safe,” organizers have “developed comprehensive standards for visitors, exhibitors and employees.”
That has to be music to the ears of Dutch builders and suppliers. For them, Boat Düsseldorf is a critical event, only 30 kms (20 mi) from the Dutch border.
Wolfram Diener, left, President & CEO of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, the boat show’s exhibition site, says he staged a camper show in 2020 without a hitch.
“Boot Düsseldorf is on course,” he says. “Trade fairs remain an essential marketing tool for the water sports sector, even in the current climate.”
Boat Düsseldorf is held across 17 vast halls. Its website provides details of the show’s COVID-19 hygiene guidelines.
