GROU _ Bootcentrum Geertsma has added a new model _ the Tigo _ to its portfolio. Its 1050, 1200 and 1300 Tigos fill out a lineup of 7 models _ all comfortable motor cruisers ranging from 10 to 15m. (33-49ft.). The Tigo blends rounded forms _ most visible in stairs curving down to the swimming platform and a full bow _ with sharp, modern lines. The saddle roof gives the Tigo an almost playful look.
Govert Parmentier of BeGe says his yard will soon deliver the first 1300 Tigo. “The design resulted from a conversation with a German client who had an idea for a new boat that we were able to build for him,” adds Parmentier. “We have since sold 2 Tigo-1200s and there is an interest in a Tigo-1050, now on the drawing board.”
The interior comprises generous benches, a helm station and access to the port and starboard gangways. The cockpit blends into the saloon through wooden doors that open completely.
The saloon of the Tigo-1300 has a long galley. Access to accommodations down below is by way of 2 steps that lead to 2 single cabins, a bathroom, a toilet and _ in the bow _ an owner’s cabin. The Tigo has tinted glass and comes standard with a mahogany interior. Other types of wood and layouts are possible. The first Tigo-1300 _ available from €283.500 _ will be shown at Boot Holland (Feb. 8-13, 2019).
