DUESSELDORF _ Domani, maker of the upmarket S30 daysailer, unveiled a fast and very elegant 32ft electric chase boat at the 2019 Duesseldorf Boat Show. Hailed as “the world’s most efficient, zero-emission chase boat,” the E32 is powered by a Torqeedo Deep Blue 80i electric engine that achieves a top speed of around 20 knots and a cruising range of about 200km at 5.4 knots.
The launch of the first Domani E32 is scheduled for the summer of 2019. The E32 is for now being built in Belgium but the yard contemplates moving production to the Netherlands.
The E32 has a lightweight sandwich hull construction, a building technique that served Domani well in the marketing of its S30 daysailer. The highly customized 9.5m E32 offers accommodations for 4 people “in minimalist luxury.” It oozes the same elegance and sportiness of the daysailer.
Domani says it developed the E32 hull for “100% for efficiency, not just another ‘E- conversion.’ We aim at hearing only the bow wave when cruising at 10 knots.” Engineering has focused on soundproofing of pumps, motors, propeller, etc.
The E32 is available from €197.000, excluding VAT.
