GORINCHEM _ Game Changer, a 69.15m (227ft.) superyacht support vessel that Damen launched in 2017 has been relaunched _ after extensive modifications _ as a luxury expedition craft for marine conservation and research purposes.
Game Changer was sold after the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show, but returned to Damen for a make-over resulting in new guest and crew areas and a custom dive center.
The vessel is fully certified for operations in compliance with the IMO Polar Code. It carries, among other features, a C-Researcher submarine by U-Boat Worx of the Netherlands and below-deck hangar for an Airbus H130 T2 helicopter.
Game Changer _ the vessel’s name has been spared a makeover _ has a fully certified helideck and can carry a substantial amount of provisions, fuel, luggage and spare parts to stay at sea in remote locations for long periods.
The Damen Group is a family-owned Dutch defense, shipbuilding and engineering giant active in 100+ nations. It owns the Amels superyacht maker.
