In good times, METSTRADE goes from strength to strength

AMSTERDAM _ The SuperYacht Pavilion at the 2018 METSTRADE Show (Nov. 13-15) will feature a new, 3rd hall that includes a networking area, called the Shipyard. The shows expansion responds to market demand driven by a healthy global economy.

The 2018 event will host a record 314 exhibitors, including 43 newcomers.

METSTRADE is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry. It covers 3 specialist areas: the SuperYacht Pavilion, the Marina & Yard Pavilion and the Construction Material Pavilion.

“The waiting list of highly qualified exhibitors for the SuperYacht Pavilion was larger than ever,” says Irene Dros, Director Maritime at Amsterdam’s RAI exhibition center.

“We recognize how much the extra companies will contribute to the pavilion program in terms of innovation. We have also responded to demand for more networking space. And for places where custom yards can host meetings in privacy.”

The 3rd hall will feature stands surrounding the “Shipyard” networking space and meeting rooms for hire by custom superyacht builders. These spaces are restricted to designers and naval architects working on projects, sparing yards the trouble of hire meeting rooms in hotels near the RAI complex.
