AMSTERDAM, April 2017 ~ Mastervolt has launched the EasyView 5, a slim display for use on an open console or a flybridge and sealed against dust, sand, dried salt and water splashes. The Netherlands-based developer and maker of independent power systems says the monitor has a color touch screen, a multi-language menu (English, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) and can be customized.
It has a logbook feature for warnings and alarms as well as buzzer and alarm notifications.
As Mastervolt specializes in system integration, its EasyView 5 keeps tabs on all onboard electrics _ from battery charging to running an inverter to adjusting mains fuse settings. System information is fed via the MasterBus CANbus port. The monitor can be powered from the MasterBus system or an independent 12/24 V DC supply.
The EasyView 5 can be installed almost flush to a surface, needing only 33 mm of rear space. When wall-mounted, it stands just 43 mm proud of the console. The 4.3-inch display (480×272 pixels) is easy to read in full daylight. It comes with a UV-resistant cover.
