AMSTERDAM – Organizers have canceled the Nov. 17-19 Marine Equipment Trade Show “with great sadness” due to the coronavirus pandemic and fixed Nov. 16-18, 2021 as dates for the next METSTRADE.
“Our mission cannot be accomplished successfully,” in 2020, the RAI Amsterdam conference center said in an Aug. 27 statement. “Therefore, we believe it is the right decision to cancel this year’s show.”
“We cannot guarantee the high-quality show in 2020 with valuable face-to-face contacts with visitors” in 2020, added Niels Klarenbeek, who took the METSTRADE helm this year. He polled industry partners on the cancellation, including the International Council of Marine Industry Associations, a METSTRADE co-organizer.
Founded 32 years ago, METSTRADE is the world’s largest trade exhibition for equipment, materials and systems for the international leisure marine industry. The event’s target group includes yacht builders, naval architects, refit yards, distributors, dealers, wholesalers, captains, marina owners and marine equipment manufacturers worldwide.
