Saffier premieres Saffier SE-37 Lounge at Düsseldorf

IJMUIDEN _ Saffier Maritiem used the 2018 Düsseldorf Boat Show to exhibit its new flagship: the Saffier Se 37 Lounge. The robust luxury daysailer sets a new standard.
It has a cabin, but no real ‘inside’ to speak of. It has a helmsman’s position, way up at the front of the cockpit. From that central location, the helmsman oversees the entire boat and has access to all the lines that control the sails.
The yard says that sailing the Saffier SE 37 Lounge is child’s play.
Raise all sails, including a huge Code 0 or gennaker of over 100 m² _ and the 12m Saffier SE 37 Lounge will reach speeds far above its hull speed.

Behind the twin-steering helm is a roomy cockpit area free of lines and fitted out with comfortable seats and luxury cushions.
Not only while sailing this is a great place to be. At anchor or in the harbor it is easily converted into a real terrace on the water.
Again: with just one button. A push on the button lifts the integrated cockpit table out of the floor. A huge table, where at least ten people can have a seat.

The Se 37 Lounge is a seaworthy, polyester weekender with overnighting accommodation. The design is by Satellite Yacht Design.
There is no real border between ‘outside’ and ‘inside’. The   wide cabin entrance leads inside to an open and light area with a coffee corner, a galley, the head, luxury seats and a double bed.

The Saffier yard is internationally recognized as a leader in the day-sailing market. The Saffier Se 37 Lounge can be sailed by the helmsman alone. The lines of the mainsail, self-tacking jib, code- zero or gennaker and the halyards run underdeck. They can be operated by electric or manual winches without moving away from the twin helm. The Saffier Se 37 Lounge is seaworthy, self-righting and has a self-draining cockpit. Its draft varies from 1.70m to 2.10m to 2.40m.
Saffier yachts comes in 7 lengths _ from 23 to 37ft. Besides the Saffier Range, the yard is active elsewhere in recreational and commercial boat building such as designing yachts and making plugs and molds for third parties, designing and building private yachts, maintenance and repairs. For 22 years, Saffier Maritiem has worked on boats of the Dutch lifeguard service KNRM.
