SOUTHAMPTON, England — Thom Dammrich and Nick Hopkinson, two global maritime sector veterans, have joined forces with Marine Resources, the British executive search headhunter.
Dammrich is the former president of the Chicago-based National Marine Manufacturers Association, and Hopkinson is the former editor/owner of International Boat Industry magazine. They will help marine industry companies recruit senior management staff through Marine Resources.
Based in Southampton, England, Marine Resources offers bespoke headhunting and recruitment services. It finds executives for companies active in yacht building, refit, design, engineering and marine technology.

Marine Resources CEO James Ward said, “joining forces with Nick and Thom … will strengthen our recruitment services offering and ensure the recruitment jigsaw is confidently put together.”
Dammrich and Hopkinson, he added, have extensive knowledge of the global market, having engaged with leading figures and companies in the industry for many years and in many countries.
Dammrich said he looked forward to “helping marine businesses find the talent they need to be successful and executives to find the position where they can make a significant contribution.”
Hopkinson said he and D Dammrich will extend Marine Resources’ “reach into the area of top-level international senior executive placement” and strengthen both marine sector management teams and “individuals looking for new opportunities.”
Marine Resources began in 2003 as a marine leisure industry specialist and has since grown in response to client demand. The company operates internationally and is the leading source of marine jobs on shore, from leisure and superyacht industry to maritime and renewables.
