U-Boat Worx is based in The Netherlands, and was founded in 2005. Since its inception the company has become the world’s largest mini-submersible manufacturer. U-Boat Worx offers high-end exploration submersibles ranging from 2-person to 11-person models, available in depth-ratings ranging from 100 meters up to 3,000 meters. The submersibles make use of the latest advancements in technology to provide clients – who include super yacht owners, research organizations, offshore companies and high-end tourist operators – with the best available submersible for their requirements.

What will you do?
You will be responsible for making sure that our submersibles become even better known to our target markets. You will work closely alongside the sales team to develop presentations for clients, technical documentation, and assist with client visits, demonstration activities and the preparation of quotations and reports.
You will be instrumental in creating and maintaining the external communications for U-Boat Worx through traditional and online media. Maintenance of our website and our online presence is paramount. You will write press releases for international media, with whom you will develop a strong relationships. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing first-class marketing collateral, including copywriting. For the numerous events that U-Boat Worx attends, you will play a leading role in the preparation and execution. There will be plenty of opportunities to develop targeted marketing plans aimed at select audiences, where your own ideas will play a vital role.

Who are you?
You are ambitious, have completed a higher education, and preferably have several years’ work experience in marketing and communication. Experience in the yachting, luxury, high-end travel, cruise industry would be an advantage. You have an affinity with the underwater world, technology and an understanding of the maritime industry, and are capable of working independently.
You have a perfect command of English and at least one other language, and possess excellent attention to detail. You present well, and are ambitions and goal-focussed. Advanced user experience with Microsoft Office software, as well as Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (or similar) are a must. Applied knowledge of 3D software like Cinema4D or SolidWorks would be an ideal addition.
Frequent business trips – scheduled and last-minute – will be part of this role, and will require a high degree of flexibility.
