AMSTERDAM – Van Berge Henegouwen, the Dutch superyacht entertainment technology specialist, has become a partner in the new marine division of Crestron Electronics of Rockleigh, NJ.
In announcing the move, VBH CEO Jeroen van den Hurk said “this new development will enable VBH and Crestron to strengthen our yacht support around the globe.”
Van den Hurk was named VBH CEO on May 1, with marching orders from the executive board to raise VBH’s presence in the demanding global superyacht sector.
By linking up with Crestron, said Van den Hurk, “we both strive to be at the forefront of onboard technology by constantly improving our products and services. This partnership in the marine division will also enable us to offer smart solutions that address the needs of our customers.”
Crestron makes audio/video automation systems for home and commercial use, including programmable controllers, touch panels, keypads, and lighting control systems. Crestron systems are installed by third parties such as VBH which signed a framework agreement with Crestron’s EMEA division in 2018 and is now an official partner in Creston’s marine division.
Crestron has named Daniel Kerkhof to head the new division which will support shipbuilders, superyacht specifiers and electro-technical officers. Kerkhof has been involved in several VBH projects in recent years
Amsterdam-based VBH works with suppliers in installing entertainment technology solutions aboard superyachts. It has offices in southern France and Florida and has integrated luxury technology aboard 200+ superyachts.
