Vetus widens its porthole series

SCHIEDAM _ VETUS is expanding its selection of portholes by adding the low-profile PA series. Originally, a special request item in Asia-Pacific and the USA, Vetus has updated these portholes and included them in its regular stock. In all, Vetus’ portfolio of portholes stretches across 87 types and models.

The shallow, aluminum-framed PA portholes come with smoky tints to tone down glare. They have ergonomic handles, are easy to open and close and come in different shapes, numbers of hinges and handles.

Vetus cautions users to never fit opening portlights below the deck line. A porthole must always open inward and will never be watertight if it is installed in a curved surface.

For more than 50 years, VETUS has been an internationally operating developer, manufacturer and trading company, selling marine engines, generators and technical equipment for recreational craft and small commercial vessels.

It supplies almost 4,000 technical products, most of which are designed inhouse. Vetus has subsidiaries in 16 countries, a worldwide distribution and service network and offers 3 years warranty on equipment, and 5 years on engines.
